Lancaster is a New
England town with a rich history. Settled in 1630 - just ten years
after the arrival of the Pilgrim Fathers - it is the birthplace of
the botanist Luther Burbank. On the town common stands Christ Church,
the beautiful creation of the early American architect, Charles Bulfinch. You
will find the wide, tree shaded Main Street lined with stately
old homes, beyond which lie farms and orchards.
